Kleiner Wukensee is within the Biesenthal area and appears in official municipal landscape planning. That makes it a possible additional landscape destination during a Barnim stay. It should not, however, be confused with Großer Wukensee. When searching for pictures or directions, the shared part of the name can easily lead to information about the wrong body of water entering your plans.
Identify the correct point on the map
Search using the full name Kleiner Wukensee together with Biesenthal. Compare the position with a current map before saving a route. A navigation destination shortened simply to Wukensee is not sufficiently precise for preparation.
Read the complete location of any facility you find. The lido at Großer Wukensee must not be included as a service at Kleiner Wukensee. Photographs also need a clear location if you want to use them to assess an approach.
Learn appropriately from older material
A municipal landscape plan can help place a lake geographically and explain its setting. It is not a live visitor-information service. References to previous uses or buildings should not be read as confirmation of current opening, supervision or toilets.
For a visit, you also need a permitted approach and information about your intended activity. If those remain uncertain, a better-documented location is more suitable for organising a swimming day. An interest in lakes does not oblige you to reach every one during a single holiday.
Keep an addition optional
Do not make Kleiner Wukensee a compulsory extension to an outing that is already full. Assess the time, return journey and group's energy separately. A deliberately limited exploration on a later trip can be more enjoyable than rushing to add another lake.
Take your rubbish away and remain on permitted paths. Unclear access is not resolved by crossing private land or pushing through shoreline plants.
Common questions
Does the familiar lido serve both Wukenseen?
No. Biesenthal identifies its facility specifically as the lido at Großer Wukensee. Do not transfer those details to Kleiner Wukensee.
Is a historical plan enough for a visit today?
It helps explain the setting, but does not replace current information about paths, access and permitted uses.
